TuneIn × NFL

product · partnerships · audio

As Senior Director at TuneIn, one of the biggest deals I helped bring to life was our partnership with the NFL — making TuneIn the official global audio distribution platform for the National Football League. Starting with the 2015 season, TuneIn Premium subscribers around the world could listen to live play-by-play coverage of every NFL game, from preseason through the playoffs and Super Bowl. Every game. Every team. TuneIn × NFL What We Built The integration gave Premium subscribers access to all 32 team feeds — home and away broadcasts, national radio coverage, and Spanish-language commentary where available. We also launched a seven-hour Sunday broadcast block with live analysis, in-game stats, and drop-ins from local radio coverage of every game in progress simultaneously. For free users, we launched a dedicated NFL channel featuring NFL Network programming and official NFL Media podcasts — giving the league a meaningful audio presence across TuneIn's full listener base. The Deal The NFL partnership came on the heels of TuneIn Premium's August 2015 launch with MLB and the Barclays Premier League. Adding the NFL — the #1 domestic sports league — was a major statement about where premium audio was headed and what TuneIn could deliver for rights holders at scale. TuneIn Premium was available at $7.99/month in the US, £5.99/month in the UK, and $8.99/month in Canada. In Their Own Words
