TuneIn Device Integrations

As Senior Director of Product at TuneIn, a core part of my mandate was making TuneIn available everywhere people listen — in the home, in the car, and on every screen. I led the product and partnership work to bring TuneIn's catalog of 100,000+ radio stations, sports, news, and podcasts to the widest possible range of connected devices. The goal was ubiquity. Audio is ambient — it lives in the kitchen, the living room, the commute. TuneIn needed to be native to those moments, not an afterthought. Smart Speakers & Home Audio The home audio integrations were some of the most high-visibility work. Sonos was an early and deep partner — TuneIn became one of the primary listening experiences across the full Sonos lineup, from the PLAY:1 to the PLAYBAR. Bose SoundTouch (10, 20, 30) followed, embedding TuneIn directly into the speaker's native interface. When Amazon launched Echo and Alexa began to define the smart speaker category, TuneIn was positioned as the default radio and live streaming source — a relationship that shaped how millions of people first asked Alexa to play something. Harman Kardon's Cortana-powered Invoke speaker similarly featured TuneIn as a core audio service. Streaming & Connected TV On the screen side, TuneIn shipped integrations across Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Google Chromecast — ensuring that live radio and sports audio had a home in the living room even when the TV was the center of the experience. Samsung Smart TVs and a wide range of gaming consoles rounded out the connected TV footprint. Automotive In-car was a critical category. Drivers represent some of the most loyal, habitual radio listeners in the world. TuneIn's automotive integrations spanned OEM partnerships across major manufacturers — bringing internet radio to dashboards via embedded infotainment systems, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. BMW's Mini was among the earliest automotive integrations, with many more following across US, European, and Asian automakers.
