I worked with our Google developer advocate and our lead TuneIn android engineer to create requirements, ux and ui designs for our integration.
Google was pushing their leanback structure as part of their framework, so we adopted the simple left docked navigation as a base. You then entered into a deeper browse where live content would come into focus as you DPAD navigated left - right or up - down.
Although simple, this integration earned us a spot at Google IO that year as part of the Google Living Room experience set.
